The Development District's Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities functions as the district focal point and advocate for older persons and other adults with disabilities.  One of nine agencies in Tennessee, the UCAAAD has the responsibility of planning, coordinating, and advocating for services to improve the quality of life of older persons and other adults with disabilities.
